A Decade of RV Industry Data Coming Alive! Featured

Each year there are thousands of new motorhomes and campers of all types that hit the road. While this traveling preference never seems to grow old, it does go through cycles related to the economy and our travel preferences.

The data in our racing bar chart below comes from the RV Industry Association and it shows the number of wholesale unit shipments of each class in the U.S. You can see the effects on industry sales from the financial crisis that began in 2007 and the recession that followed. Over the next decade the chart shows motorhome sales rebounding while truck campers and folding campers never recovered back to their 2007 levels.
